An Intoduction

Hello. My name is Johnnie, and I recently started this blog after being so enthralled with all the other great Doom/Stoner blogs out there. It has given me a great opportunity to discover music far out of my reach, mostly foreign albums that do not get distributed in the states. Though I am new to blogs, I will try to keep this as informational and professional as possible.

So here is a little about my background, as I feel it is a common path that many people follow to discover the amazing capabilities of Doom and Stoner bands across the world. I had been into Punk music from an early age, and after being a local participant in my scene for many years, I feel I became tired with all the repetitive and simplistic riffs that I feel I had heard for so long. Despite my biases against bands that reach mainstream success, I was shown the first five albums of Black Sabbath. I feel this albums has made rock music the way it is today. Yes they have influenced those shitty Nu-Metal bands, but Metal, good Hardcore, and Goth may have never even existed if it wasn't for Sabbath. So after branching out to other Doom and Stoner bands, I went on a quest to find every band I could ever like.

I now live in San Francisco, and I am continuing that quest while enjoying the live entertainment of great bands. So as an intro to my blog, I will post the first five albums of Black Sabbath. The only condition is that no one may listen to any other Sabbath albums after that. Those just make me sad.

One more thing- These files may be linked as .zip or .rar. Despite this, it is very easy to download a free .rar expander, so this should not bring too much difficulty.

Despite being at the end of the blog, I stumbled upon the 1969 demo by Black Sabbath. You can tell this is when they are in their transition from Earth to Black Sabbath. Not as good as a listen as their other albums, but still great to have.
